Documents Required for MBBS Abroad 2026
Category 1 – Academic Documents
- 10th (SSC) marksheet — original + 2 attested copies
- 10th passing certificate — original + 2 attested copies
- 12th (HSC) marksheet — original + 2 attested copies
- 12th passing certificate — original + 2 attested copies
- NEET 2026 scorecard — original + 3 copies
- School leaving certificate / transfer certificate
Category 2 – Identity and Personal Documents
- Valid Indian passport — original (minimum 1 year validity remaining recommended)
- Aadhaar card — copy
- PAN card — copy
- Birth certificate — original (for apostille)
- Passport-size photographs — 10–15 copies (white background, as per university specs)
Category 3 – Medical Documents
- Medical fitness certificate — from a registered MBBS doctor, on letterhead, stating you are fit to travel and study abroad
- Vaccination records (if required by the destination country — check country-specific requirements)
Category 4 – Police Clearance
- Police clearance certificate (PCC) — obtained from your local police station or passport office. Required for visa application in most countries.
Category 5 – Financial Documents (for Visa & Loan)
- Bank statement — last 6 months, showing sufficient funds or loan sanction
- Education loan sanction letter (if applicable)
- Income proof of parent/guardian — salary slips or ITR (last 2–3 years)
Category 6 – Apostille (Very Important)
Apostille is a form of document authentication required by most countries for foreign education applications. For MBBS abroad, the following documents must be apostilled:
- 10th marksheet
- 12th marksheet
- Birth certificate
Apostille is done through the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India or authorised state departments. In Gujarat, apostille can be done through the MEA office in Ahmedabad. What is apostille and where do I get it done in Gujarat?
Apostille is an international document certification recognised by countries that are part of the Hague Convention (which includes Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan). In Gujarat, apostille is done through the MEA Regional Authentication Centre in Ahmedabad or through authorised agencies.
